After Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s meeting with Applied Materials’ President and CEO Gary E. Dickerson, plans were made to establish a collaborative engineering centre in Bengaluru with a $400 million investment over four years. The centre aims to enhance manufacturing capabilities and demonstrate global companies’ trust in India’s semiconductor industry.
Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw highlighted the significance of the centre in advancing India’s semiconductor manufacturing capabilities, showcasing the country’s dedication to fostering a strong semiconductor ecosystem.
