How to search WhatsApp conversations by date

In a recent announcement, Meta-owned WhatsApp revealed the introduction of a “search by date” feature for individual and group chats on Android devices. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg shared the news on his WhatsApp channel, stating that the new feature will make searching chats easier by allowing users to choose a specific date and skip to messages from that point onwards.

The search by date feature is currently rolling out on Android devices, while it is already available on iOS, Mac desktop, and WhatsApp Web. To access the feature, users can click into any chat, tap the contact or group name at the top, and click ‘Search’ to select the desired date to skip to.

In addition to the new search by date feature, WhatsApp recently announced support for new text formatting options such as bulleted lists, numbered lists, block quotes, and inline code. The platform is also rumored to be working on a ‘favourite contacts filter’ feature, which will allow users to prioritize conversations and improve messaging efficiency.

These updates aim to enhance the user experience on WhatsApp and provide greater control and convenience while communicating with others. As the platform continues to evolve and introduce new features, users can look forward to an improved messaging experience.
