A video showcasing Toby Keith is revolving all over social media where he could be spotted at his house receiving hospice care.
The video gained traction after the country singer met his ultimate demise battling cancer. The assumptions regarding the video are currently all over TikTok. The legendary country singer didn’t share the current viral video at any point in his life.
The Cowboy singer died on February 5, 2024, struggling with stomach cancer. A few days before his demise, on September 28, 2023, he performed at the People’s Choice Country Awards.
A video of a person who mostly resembles the late country singer has gained popularity and traction all over TikTok.
The person in the video can be heard stating,
“Well my friends, the time has come for me to begin saying farewell. Just a couple of days ago, I signed the intake papers for hospice, which is end-of-life healthcare at home, and it wasn’t a difficult choice.”
Furthermore, he added,
“It was a difficult decision to make, but not a difficult choice because I didn’t have much of a choice. The chemotherapy that I’d been undergoing for over a year is no longer working, and if I continue on it, just to keep it at bay, it’s doing more damage than cancer is.”
Netizens claim that the man in the video is Toby Keith. However, as per media reports, he certainly is not.

Toby Keith Video Debunked
The man in the video has been identified as Joel Mason, who looks exactly like the deceased singer.
As both of them bear an extraordinary resemblance, netizens got confused between them. On July 17, Joel Mason went to his Facebook and posted the video.
Ritch Cassidy, a Facebook user went to her social networking site and revealed that it was not “Toby Keith in the video.”
She also shared how Henry Mason Jr., the TikToker had spread the disinformation.
She said,
“Henry Mason Jr, just took the REAL video, and reposted it as Toby in Hospice. I’m being serious when I tell you my blood rarely boils, but it did seeing these. Thankfully over my years in country music, I have dear friends that worked closely with Toby and I immediately made them aware of the video and fans believing it was Toby.”
Cassidy mentioned that Joel Mason was an actor and comedian from Las Vegas who lost his life to cancer in August 2023. Confirmation from the Hospice of North Central Oklahoma, Inc., revealed that the man in the video is Joel Mason. However, as of writing this article, Toby Keith’s team has not responded to the viral video yet.
